What kind of doctor am I?

When people ask me this question, I commonly respond: “A good one”.  :)

While that’s not untrue, my education is rooted in a system of medicine called Naturopathic Medicine and I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor. 

Ah, the next inevitable question: What is that?

What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic medicine is a distinct system of medicine that focuses on the individual and is guided by time tested principles:

  • First Do No Harm

  • Identify and Treat the Root Cause

  • Treat the Whole Person

  • Teach and Facilitate Understanding to Empower People

  • Practice Prevention

  • Honor the Healing Power of Nature

My Approach

I graduated in 2001 from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (now Sonoran University of Health Sciences) and have enjoyed a robust private practice for over two decades, helping people heal from various clinical conditions and optimizing their health overall.

I don’t use any protocols per se, I call them “wake up calls”. Every individual is unique and deserves to be treated as such when it comes to their health. Sometimes, our bodies are giving us little wake up calls to get our attention and it is my job to connect the dots and make sense of them.
